Luang Phor Koon Biography (Wat Ban Rai)

 Luang Phor Koon( LP Koon) was born on 4th day of October 1923(BE.2466) in a small village call Ban Rai,Dan Khun Thod District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.(Its commonly known as Korat). His mother passed away when he was at the age of 11 and he was then taken care of by his auntie. Not so long after his mother death, his father remarried and LP Koon was sent to Wat Ban Rai to study Buddhism. During the day, he helped his father to plough the field and bathed the buffalo. At night,he went to the temple to study and help to clean up the temple during his spare time.

  When LP Koon was at the age of 20, his relative and his auntie contributed a sum of money to send him to Wat Thannon located in Hat Yai. LP Koon was ordained as a monk at the age of 21 at Wat Thannon on 5th May 1944 (BE.2487). Phra Kru Wijarn Dtight was the preceptor and Phra Kru Atigahn Torng Sukwas his Dhamma  teacher. His monk name is call Paritsuttoh. During the year, at the summer observation vacation, he went to Wat Nongpho to learn meditation under the master Luang Phor Daeng( LP Daeng), and further his studies on Buddhist knowledge.

  After several years, through his exceptional intelligence, he mastered almost everything from LP Daeng, such as Dhamma, Samadhi and Wichah( Magic). Then LP Daeng told him that he has acquired a firm foundation against basic mediation and the Sanskrit language and its time for him to to seek for other renowned master to further his knowledge.

 He introduced a high ranking monk to LP Koon known as Luang Phor Khang (LP Khang). When LP Khang met LP Koon he could immediately tell that LP Koon was a very unusual monk and will have a bright future ahead and accepted him as his disciple.

  LP Koon learnt to cultivate Buddhist practice as well as all forms of spiritual powers from LP Khang. In the course of his studies, he had to climb over mountains and enter the forest to practice the spiritual powers on remote mountain peaks. Three years went by, when LP Koon had learnt up everything, he left his master LP Khang and decided to go on his own to fulfill the Buddhism faith and help the needy. Wherever he goes he was well respected monk by the villagers.

  LP Kong was a Phra Thudong monk (a forest monk) while he went Thudong (forest dwelling) he will brought LP Koon along. Besides Dhamma and Samadhi, LP Kong also taught LP Koon Wichah (magic) on inserting takrut. After learning from LP Kong for some time, LP Koon went Thudong alone. He went as far as Laos and Cambodia. He stayed in the deep forests of Laos and Cambodia for many years.

LP Koon Passed away in 16th May 2015 (BE 2558) 

Case 1 

  In the year of B.E 2536, in Thailand that's a Doll factory which is 4 storeys high caught fire at level 1. The security of the building locked the main entrance to prevent the staffs from stealing anything from the factory, but they never expected that the fire is uncontrollable and during that time they failed to find the manager on duty to unlock the main. At that time , that's a lot of  flammable material and caused the fire to expand rapidly from level 1 to level 2, the female workers who was working in level 2 were panic as there is no other escape from anywhere except the main door. The only way is to shout for help, even the fire fighter was not in time to help. Within a while, the fire expanded to level 3, to the workers the only choice to survive is to jump from the window but the outcome is either you fall to the death or you will be crippled forever.

  At this time, that's a female worker in the name of Pai la, just likes others she is also feeling panic. Just as she is trying to deciding what to do, she suddenly remembered that her father gave her an amulet, so she decide to grab the amulet with her hand and she does not even know which Luang Phor was it. She just prays hard to the amulet “Please Bless Me", from level 3 and she jumped down. 

  After that, she passed out and found herself in hospital, people started to surround asked her" why were you standing on the ground and stand still after you jumped from level 3"? After that, she quickly checked if she is crippled and found herself in perfect condition, immediately she opened her hand and loom at the amulet. It’s LP Koon Copper Rian. After this incident, everyone started to believe in LP Koon and the Factory was named as Ghost Doll Factory which killed 200 over people.

Case 2

  3 months later, in the city of Khorat, there is a hotel name Loyang Hotel, they were hosting a gathering for around 200 teachers. At around 9 pm, suddenly the whole level 5 of the hotel collapsed. The reason that caused is because of the pool of water they build on top level. When everyone is trying to find survivor for this incident, everyone died except 1 female cleaner and she is wearing LP Koon amulet. Over all the dead bodies, none of them were wearing LP Koon amulet.

Case 3

 In Thailand, Thai Boxing is always a popular sport. In 1996, that is a thai boxer call Somluck Kamsing. Since young,he has been practising Thai boxing. Out of a sudden, he changed to play boxing for Olympic. Due to high stress level, he started having insomnia and some mental nervous issue. Before any competition, its normal for Olympic players to find LP Koon for blessing. So Somluck Kamsing just follow along with a doubted mind. After everyone was blessed, during Somluck Kamsing's turn, LP Koon just chanted a mantra and told him:" When you are on the ring, just think of me and chant the mantra". After the blessing, Somluck Kamsing went home and take a rest to prepare for the competition and he no longer feel stress and started to believe the power of LP Koon 

   A week later, when Somluck Kamsing reached America, when the arrangement for the Olympic game arrangement is out, he saw all the boxers for the match, everyone of them is at least twice of his size and his height. First thing on his mind, “Well, that's it". The only thing he can do it pray, if he can get bronze medal it's good enough. Just before every match he started, he will always chant the mantra and think of LP Koon, whenever he is punching the opponent, he will chant the mantra given by LP Koon and he feel a powerful energy in his arm. When he enters the final, everyone in Thailand was shock as no one in Thailand ever made into final in Olympic Games before as no one has ever won a gold medal in Olympic from Thailand in history.

  During the Final, it’s around Thailand timing 6 pm. The whole streets of Bangkok was quiet due to everyone was watching the TV of the historical moment. Everyone in Thailand was giving their blessing to Somluck Kamsing. The match was Somluck Kamsing VS Serafim Todorov and the result was Somluck Kamsing won by a few point slightly and become the champion for 1996 Olympic.
